Welcome to ScottieHell
You have entered the realm of Satan. See how he writhes in agony on a bed ofmolten lava, while grinning monkeys gorge on his entrails.
But no torment can match the pain of unrequited love.
Satan was once Lucifer, favoured by the almighty, worshipped and adored bylords of heaven for his beauty and brilliance. Pampered and preened, showeredwith gifts he had the confidence of God, they were inseparable.
But then God is a fickle being, his attentions wandered, he grew bored. Heneeded more adoration than even Lucifer could offer, he wanted a new love. So hetook substance from the choir of Thrones to create two playthings, Adam andLilith.
Lucifer wasdevastated. What had he done wrong? He had loved with all his soul and existedonly for that love, and suddenly he had no meaning anymore. He saw his Lord, once so great, forgetting himself for the sake of the attentions of two low, ignorant creatures. Using their weakness to emphasise his own greatness. thiswas not worthy of his magnificence.
Lucifer was not alone in this belief. Heaven hissed with the tuttingdisapproval of the angels. They turned to Lucifer the beloved, to speak to thealmighty, to make him see sense.
And so he became their leader. Broken-hearted and insulted, he led arebellion against the thing he loved most. Love turned to hatred. The hatredmasked the despair. He found a new meaning. He became hate.
The rebellion raged for centuries. But struggle was futile. The Powers weregiven explosive devices denied the rebels. The force of their guns and bombsshook heaven. The rebels fought with their bare hands. The full force of heavenwas against them, and millions were slaughtered. but each day they were rebornto fight anew, in an endless bloody round of death and destruction.
At last, God grew bored of the fight. He put aside his maps and tin soldiersand with a wave of his hand, bid Michael and Uriel drive them into the pit ofHell, there to languish for eternity.
Laying there, his flesh singing, his golden wings, broken and grey, Luciferchanged his name. Divorced and sick with the knowledge that rebellion had beenpointless, just one more game to spice up the existence of the almighty, hevowed to hate until the end of time. He now knew he could not be destroyed, sohe would exist in this place to spite God. Nothing annoyed the almighty morethan to be unloved. He would hate him with a vengeance and he would spread thishatred. He would never accept God's offer of a place in his harem, sent off tosome dower house, however comfortable, living off scraps of attention at hisbeck and call. Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.
As he gropedaround in the blackness, he caught a scent of woman. Or rather the scent of awoman burning. His nostrils flared with passion and loathing. Lilith laysquirming there beside him, her flesh hissing and throbbing. The object of God'sdesire and wife to Adam, the female that had surpassed him in his mastersaffections, was here in hell, beside him. Lascivious on her bed of sulphur, herbody was luminous with heat, alive with fire.
She had proved too much for the Almighty. He had exposed too much of himself to her. She had seen his weakness, his vanity, his vices. He had endowed herwith such power and beauty, that she bowed to no one. The equal partnership ofAdam and Lilith and had been far from equal. She had dominated in all things. She was a mistake, and God would not have his mistakes around him, so he threwher into hell and set about creating a new mate for Adam, a weaker woman, created from man and not from the angels. Adam woke as if for the first time, tofind Eve beside him, and had no memory of the rebellion or of his first wifeLilith.
Lilith had something mortal about her, not quite human and yet not angel, she became death. She lost all joy, all hope. She loved her hatred above allelse now. And so she loved Satan.
Satan always remembers that it was Lilith that stole his Lord from him. Evenin hell he can see the power and brilliance given her by the master he adored. He despises her for it. He beats her, tortures her, flays her flesh from herbody and they writhe around in passion, contorted with lust, married in hate. Each in terror of the other, locked together by some deadly fascination.
