Functions Monitored

Fuel consumption, distance travelled, speed, engine rpm, start times ofdriver hours, journey times/times standing idle, ease of engine starting, checksunder bonnet, accident information options, number of passengers, watertemperature, fridge temperature, brake use, tail lift operations, oil pressure,plus other functions specified by customer, can all be measured by the MONITAKdriver information monitor.

Economy advisor unit (ECAD) gives driver visual and audible warnings ofover-revving. excess speed, long idling, harsh braking, and driving outside theeconomy band
Driver hours regulation monitoring
Optional key pad facility to record up to 99 additional user activities,including job information, defects, expenses, etc.

The DAU sensors can be installed by Transcomp staff or any autoelectrical engineer and may be connected to an existing tachograph. Power isdrawn from vehicle battery, but the memory and real time clock are safeguardedby an internal battery with a guaranteed 10 year life.

Information transfer is handled through the data card within the unit or viasatellite link. Transfer occurs in seconds and is read by a pc with . Data cardscan be personalized to individual drivers.

Monitak

Providing simple visual information for drivers on available driving time;recording time and distance data over specified periods.

Installation

The Monitak is programmed to keep track of driver activity and to checkagainst relevant regulations. It is located on a mounting bracket fitted to eachvehicle by Transcomp engineers.

Information

Driving totals for the day, week, fortnight or other periods displayed onrequest. Information can be downloaded into a pc in the vehicle or take back tothe office to provide a print-out.
