EmergencyServices
Transcomp DAU (Data Acquisition Unit) vehicle systems arein use with emergency services around the country to provide management data anddocumentary back-up in any incident investigations. The DAUs are set to monitorsuch operations as use of sirens and flashing lights, vehicle speeds andbraking. The functions can be selected to suit the different needs of police,fire brigades and ambulance services.

ConstructionFleet
DAUs can be adapted to monitor the efficiency of the variousspecialized functions and activities of a range of construction vehicles, fromcement mixers and bulldozers to cranes and fork-lift trucks. M&NConstruction use Transcomp's FM system to enable round the clock access toun-manned relocatable fuel dispensing units. and Ecovert, who providesub-contracted road sweeping in Warwickshire, use DAUs to accurately measuredistances swept.

Coaches
With Touch Tag systems installed in every vehicle, drivers can immediately beidentified and recognized and relevant data downloaded to the fuel monitor, evenwhere there is more than one depot. The location of vehicles can be monitored atall times, keeping track of the fleet, wherever the individual vehicles mightbe. The London Borough of Hounslow manages its fleet of over 300 vehiclesincluding minibuses, lawnmowers and refuse trucks with transcomp FleetManagement systems.

TransportFleet
WRM Coolchain is a refrigerated transport carrier with anetwork of fuelling depots, each equipped with a Transcomp monitor. Continuityof information is achieved by the use of Transcomp data keys which storeodometer readings until it is processed centrally. The Bernstein Group offurniture manufacturers simplified accounting procedures and improved control offuel usage with fuel monitors programmed to read Overdrive and Phillips 66 cardsso that drivers can fill up with petrol and diesel, at home and away.
